Sachi Animal Rescue was created in September 2009 by a group of dog loving volunteers in Los Angeles. We are a non-profit 501(c)(3) organization staffed entirely by volunteers who donate their time and money to find homes for hard to place canines. We specialize in rescuing, rehabilitating and placing companion dogs(primarily, but not exclusively, the Boxer breed) that have otherwise been abandoned and neglected or abused, into loving homes.
We do this because there is such a huge amount of dogs euthanized every day who could have been great pets if only they'd been given the chance. We do this because even though saving one life at a time may seem futile, one life saved is still a victory.

What could I possibly say about my dear friend (and fellow Frenchman!) Dr Yves Galea that won't be too over the top? Well let's start with his amazing generosity, to me and my own pets certainly over the years, but also to the Sachi Animal Rescue orphans who haven't encountered many gentle and caring hands in their lives. Dr Galea will always make room in his busy schedule to see one of our rescue dogs, be it for a general check up or a major surgery. He has not only been generous with his time, he has been generous with his gift. He is the rare veterinarian who not only takes pride in his work, he is actually passionate about it. Going to Sepulveda Animal Hospital is always a joy for me, no matter what. The entire staff is friendly, knowledgeable and compassionate. The hospital is state of the art and very efficient. But most importantly, Dr Galea is one of a kind. I trust his judgment implicitly and rarely have I encountered someone more ethical in the medical field. He tells it like it is, and doesn't try to push unnecessary tests and unwarranted expenses on you. However, when he feels that something is necessary to the general health and well being of your pet, he will not hesitate to make his point strongly and passionately. Because he speaks for the ones who do not have a voice and is aware of his duties and responsibilities, because he will never turn a pet away, no matter how difficult, damaged, aggressive or uncooperative, because he is truly one of a kind, SACHI ANIMAL RESCUE is proud to acknowledge, endorse, and thank Dr Yves Galea and the entire staff of Sepulveda Animal Hospital.
