And she was. She became Rand's loyal companion and he was hopelessly and forever in love.

 | Because of her tireless energy, Maxine went to daycare for the first three years. Then, Rand and Robert decided to look into getting her a playmate. The thought of another puppy was more than they could bear, so they looked to rescue and Andy came into their lives. Since then, Rand has become dedicated to animal rescue and the couple has shared their home over the years with eleven rescue dogs: eight boxers, two "American black dogs," and a cocker spaniel.
